Culture shocks in Tibet

Tibet is located on the Himalayan plateau, the world’s highest and largest plateau which covers an area of 2.5 million square kilometers. It is at an elevation of 4900 meters or 16000 feet above sea-level.(www.chinahighlights.com) This is the reason why it is known as the “Roof of the World”. Leader of the country is Dalai Lama, the leader of monks. Tibet has theocracy and administered by the Kashag, a council of four, and 400–500 officials drawn from the traditional. The Tibet Autonomous Region is a province-level entity of the People's Republic of China. It is governed by a People's Government, led by a Chairman. Culture shocks in Tibet there are a lot of things on climate, tourist attraction and food.
            First of all, Culture shocks in Tibet is the climate. Due to Tibet is very high from sea level, therefore amount of oxygen in the thin air. Weather in Tibet are low temperature and simple changes. Each day the temperature may very different.Tibet has 4 seasons of the year, spring, summer, fall and Winter. During the cold weather is between December and February. Snow cover across the country. Blizzard is extremely dangerous, which may occur at any time. Winter of Tibet has called the most brutal winters. However, Tibetans only to withstand the icy cold of the Tibetan plateau. (www.chinahighlights.com)
The second, Culture shocks in Tibet is the tourist attraction. Potala palace is a popular place for tourists to visit. The Potala palace is a symbol of Tibet, the majestic white and red building complex, set against grey/green mountains and blue sky, is an iconic image of the Roof of the World. The next place is Shangri-La, the land where full of natural wonders. Shangri-La is rich in natural resources from valuable herbs to rich mineral deposits and many animals. As a Chinese saying, "The earliest sunrise is seen in Shangri-La; and the most unique place is also there". Once traveler visit, they will fully appreciate the meaning of this saying. In addition, the warm welcome of the residents of this land will make traveler feel at

home. Another popular attraction is the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. From under the sea to the towering mountains of Tibet, the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon in the Chinese Himalayas is regardedby many as the deepest canyon in the world.             At the end, Culture shocks in Tibet is the food.The most important crop in Tibet is barley. Flour milled from roasted barley, called tsampa, is the staple food of Tibet, as well as Balep is Tibetan bread eaten for breakfast and lunch. There are various other types of balep bread and fried pies. Thukpa is a dinner staple consisting of vegetables, meat, and noodles of various shapes in broth. Tibetan cuisine is traditionally served with bamboo chopsticks, in contrast to other Himalayan cuisines, which are eaten by hand. Small soup bowls are also used by Tibetans, and the rich are known to have used bowls of gold and silver.
As a result, there are 3 culture shocks in Tibet, the climate, tourist attraction, and food. Tibet, the roof of the world, is every traveler's dream. It is a land of spectacular monasteries, tranquil holy lakes, transparent pure blue sky and scattered herds of yak and nomads. There are so many Buddhist buildings in Tibet due to Tibetans’ strong culture of faith, the oldest and most popular ones.
